We want to know what the latest developments are in our field, how they relate to our method and what they could mean for our customers and ourselves. We want to get to know new markets and new products. We like to know our clients and colleagues well, and to know what drives them, what their wishes are and where we can help them. We keep asking questions until we get to the heart of the problem, if we have to.
We offer our clients solutions that are not offered by other consultancies. We are a bit headstrong, because we want to - and are able to - know all the ins and outs, based on 'real life' examples and have an urge to analyse and model. We come up with creative ideas and solutions, and think out-of-the-box. We are precise and pay attention to valuable details. Our solutions and services are based on a philosophy, namely the cogNIAM® philosophy.
We take a real interest in the people we work with, whether they are our customers, our business partners or our colleagues. We go the extra mile for them, and we go the extra mile to achieve goals and results. There is always a lot we can do, so we don't like saying 'no', with the focus on not selling ourselves short. Commitment also manifests itself in an interest in working with others, if we think this will lead to a better solution.
We are at the forefront of our field, which means we are always one step ahead of the competition. We are innovative and, if necessary for the customer, come up with solutions that have never been thought of before. Sometimes we wonder whether there are any direct or comparable competitors, because our approach is fundamentally different. We work from a core of knowledge towards the goal.
We do not play games, have no hidden agendas or engage in politics. We value the people we work with - be they customers, colleagues or business partners - for who they are and what they can do. We also respect what they cannot do and help them to do it to the best of our ability. We communicate directly, clearly and not through channels. We give our unvarnished opinion if it is in our partner's interest. In this sense, we are the embodiment of Patrick Lencioni's 'the naked consultant'.
We have a passion for our work, and we carry it out on many fronts. Whatever role we play, we play it with commitment. We don't have a 9-to-5 mentality; if we have to, we keep going until we reach our goal. We also have fun and humour - laughter is healthy, and it also contributes to a good working atmosphere and a healthy company!
As small as we are, we have a lot of influence. We do business with the biggest, leading and most innovative organisations, we work with them, and we are proud of who we are and what we can do. We make proposals and carry out actions that defy imagination without becoming irresponsible. We dare to take risks and are enterprising, both in terms of content and operations. For example, we played a leading role in the drafting of various world standards, entered into a strategic partnership with ADP and set up a joint venture with ABN AMRO, to name but a few.
