Workshop FBM

With Fact Based Modelling you lay a firm foundation for clear structure and communication within your organisation

How do you record information in an understandable and structured way?

Do people in your organisation regularly talk past each other? Do you experience a gap between business and IT? Do you need unambiguous functional and technical specifications?

Fact Based Modelling (FBM) has proven to be the most efficient approach to make knowledge in an understandable language, effectively applicable for the benefit of all stakeholders.

With PNA's FBM workshop, you acquire your knowledge directly from the source. Our teachers have extensive practical experience and have actively contributed to various world standards. Moreover, by means of an introduction to cogNIAM, we make connections between processes, rules, data and semantics.

About Fact Based Modelling

Fact Based Modelling, known from variants such as NIAM, ORM, FCO-IM and cogNIAM, is the most effective method for creating conceptual information structures and data definitions. The natural language based approach ensures optimal interaction with the domain experts and results in maximum knowledge assurance.

The unique advantages

  • PNA has been involved in the development of FBM for over 40 years. In the workshop we share our knowledge and experience with FBM and give you guidelines for use in practice.

  • You obtain your knowledge directly from the source. PNA was one of the founders of FBM, ORM, FCO-IM and cogNIAM. Our lecturers have extensive practical experience with (inter)national organisations and have actively contributed to various world standards, including SBVR, BPMN 2.0 and DMN.

  • During the workshop a selected practical example will be used. You can apply FBM in your organisation immediately after the workshop.
