What does PNA have to do with sea containers?
We are often asked what exactly we do as a team at PNA. That is why we thought it would be fun to present a number of analogies in the series 'What does PNA have in common with...?

The introduction of the sea container into international logistics has revolutionised global trade flows. Where previously a ship was loaded with individual pieces, which sometimes took days, the arrival of standardised "freight blocks", the sea containers, led to enormous cost reductions, speed and quality improvements. Days were reduced to hours, and loading and unloading to and from trucks and barges suddenly became child's play, as these forms of transport also adopted the standard.
PNA works with the sea container of the knowledge world: standardised building blocks that can be efficiently modelled and combined. Data, processes, rules and their meaning can be explained in many ways in many situations - standardisation leads to knowledge and thus to performance improvement.
