Obviously, accessible, manageable and productive knowledge is important to our organization. We work with our cogNIAM method every day and provide incontrovertible proof time and again that our method works and it delivers unprecedented value to companies. cogNIAM® is the name of methodology with which we are inseparable. It stands for Cognition enhanced Natural language Information Analysis Method. With the cogNIAM® method, we secure knowledge in a structured way and make it practically applicable. We do this in natural language and with many concrete examples, so that everyone in the organization understands what the rules are and why. This comprehensible knowledge forms the basis for your processes, procedures and systems.
Knowledge is becoming increasingly important, but knowledge waste is still the order of the day. And that while there is no longer any excuse for wasting knowledge since the introduction of the cogNIAM® method.
So our mission is: to prevent knowledge from being wasted. Waste, of course, is always a waste. It costs a lot of time and money – time and money that go up in smoke and do not contribute to the value of an organization. How nice would it be, if the resources that are currently wasted could be used for something more useful? That’s why our vision is, “We help our clients create space. Space that allows them to focus on their actual work, on innovation and improvement and on achieving agility and compliance.
Our work is motivated by an idealistic idea. The idea that through an exact approach to knowledge, waste of knowledge, time and money can be prevented worldwide. Call us idealists. Call us do-gooders. But we believe in this approach. And we have been proving it for a long time.
Professor Sjir Nijssen, our founder, has been working for more than fifty years to teach people to use knowledge more efficiently. In the 1970s, he discovered how to identify, analyze and structure knowledge in such a way that it can be computed. As a result, specific knowledge can be made accessible to a larger group of people in understandable language. As a result, waste can be prevented and companies can flourish in their entrepreneurship.
His insight was the main driver for developing the current cogNIAM® method. A scientific method that is central to PNA’s approach. A method that enables organizations – from the current world standards in the field of knowledge management – to handle knowledge sustainably in practice.

Today, our thinking serves as the basis for current world standards in the field of processes, business rules and data management.
